There are tons of great articles out there on how to write a good law application, but without tailored and specific feedback on your application it’s hard to figure out what you might be doing wrong or how to set yourself apart. Our application feedback consultation is designed to guide you, in an interactive way, through the specific changes you should be making to give yourself the best chance of landing an interview.
What you will receive:
- A 40-minute interactive one-to-one phone consultation where you will be given specific feedback on how to improve the quality of your application, advice on how to best reflect your experiences and skills in your application, and answers to any other questions you have. (We do not provide advice on dating, how to improve your squat technique, or how to wean off your Sainsbury’s cookies addiction, though we wish you well in all these endeavors).
- Written feedback with detailed notes and annotations on your application that you can use to make changes. This includes feedback you can apply to other applications. Annotations will focus on English, structure, technique, and suggestions to stand out (plus anything discussed during the consultation).
- Finally, you can send your changes back to us at any point after the consultation for one final written review.
Small print (attention to detail, remember!):
You can send us a current application you’re working on, or a past one and get feedback you can use for future applications. (1 application per consultation). Our focus is on applications for legal internships/work experience, vacation schemes, training contracts, and legal roles in non-legal entities.
All application feedback will be given by someone who has been successful at application stage with a law firm.
After you’ve booked your slot, you will receive email instructions on how to send us your application and phone number ahead of your consultation.
Demi, LPC student at Northumbria –
“I have attended careers sessions over my time at university which includes having the opportunity to have a one-to-one session with an advisor who provides direct feedback on applications and CVs generally. I feel like the feedback received from doovice was much more thorough than anything I have received before.”
Maryam, LLB student at the University of Warwick –
“It was very detailed and helpful. I have used other [recruitment] services, and doovice provided far more detailed and insightful advice on how to improve my application.”
